A Day in the ER

"Ok. I'm going to start working on those trees."

"Um. Is C working today too?"

"No."

"Shouldn't you have someone out there. You know, so you aren't alone?"

"Nah. I'll be alright."

"You sure? Because, safety is a huge issue... especially with tree work."

"Don't worry, Muh. I'll be okay."

"You better. And BE SAFE. If you get hurt you better make sure it kills you otherwise, I'll come out and finish the job!"

"Haha... don't worry. I'll be fine."

.............. about two hours later ...............

Phone rings.

"Hello?"

"Hun. I need you to get ready. We have to go to the emergency room."

...

Why don't men listen to their wives? I try not to nag at all but boy oh boy...

:) ha...sounds like a number of conversations in my household. it's all i can do to not say "i told you so" although i'm dying to.

LOL! I didn't say I told you so but once I knew he was alright I said:

"Do I need to say it?"
