Welcome to my blog. The start of this site came about for a few reasons. I am very interested in becoming a writer. To get started I need to write - right? I'm in the early stages of this. I have been reading books, articles, and absorbing information wherever I can get it. Right now, I am close to submitting a children's book I have written. Just a few more edits and it should be on it's way. I am pretty excited.
The name comes from something that's been drilled into my head: Carve out a slice of time for yourself everyday to write. This is my attempt to do just that.
The other reason I'm here is to gain an online presence. I want to keep my writings in one location and the comments that go along with them. Readers can comment and I can learn. My intention for this site is to develop as a writer and achieve my goal of becoming a published writer.
Like all of my first paragraphs, entries, etc, this post is a little rocky. I will find my groove soon enough.
What products can't you live without?

Chapstick. Hands down.
If you could go back and change one thing you've done in your life, what would it be?

This is a harder question than you might think. It's not that I have so many bad mistakes choose from but it has more to do with how I don't think I would change anything. I am happy where I'm at in this moment and everything I've done in my life has lead me to this point. I have had to learn some hard lessons but each one has helped me grow in a way that wouldn't have happened if I didn't have that experience. Believe me, there are MANY things that I wish at the time I could've changed but looking back now, I know it was for the best. Same applies for the now - there are tough lessons I'll need to learn in the future but I know in the end it'll be worth it.
How are you celebrating St. Patrick's Day?
Oh, just the usual. My day will be filled with all things baby and some things household. With any luck, I will have time to work on my manuscript as well as critique a fellow college's work. I may have just enough time for a glass of wine. Or five.
